Today on the blog, we’re sharing a wedding straight out of a Florida daydream—an island ceremony surrounded by water, summer skies, and so much joy.
Yes, you read that right—a wedding on an actual island. Guests boated in to celebrate, stepping onto the sand for the sweetest seaside ceremony. It was whimsical, breezy, and so perfectly Florida. Classic summer storms rolled through earlier in the day, but instead of causing chaos, they gave us cooler air and the most unreal skies (truly—thank You, God!).
As photographers, we’re all about capturing the real moments: the laughter, the windblown hair, the happy tears, the unexpected dance moves. We’re especially passionate about guest candids—because your people are your story. And while most wedding photographers limit how many photos they deliver… we don’t. If it happened, we want you to remember it.
After the ceremony, the party continued with a Low Country Boil—think crab legs, shrimp, custom bibs, and personalized crab crackers. It was casual, coastal, and full of flavor. The bridesmaids wore bold Florida brights that popped against the soft tones of sand and sea—pure color joy.
And a personal favorite part of the day? The bride, Kyla, is no stranger to my camera. I had the honor of photographing her for her USF graduation photos too! Watching my clients grow, celebrate, and invite me into these big life moments—it’s the biggest gift.
